FAQs

How does the Paid Relational Organizing program work?

To participate, you first need to download Numinar from the App Store or Google Play and create an account. Next, you will join an organization for a candidate or campaign in your state. In the app, you’ll be able to select individuals in your contacts and send them a pre-loaded text to remind them to vote. You should only text your friends, family, or other individuals in your contacts that you have a direct relationship with. You can customize a pre-loaded text before you send it; however, Numinar reserves the right to make all final decisions regarding the eligibility of texts for payment, and if a text contains false, misleading, or inaccurate information about a candidate or the election, it may be deemed ineligible for payment. You can earn $5 for each unique voter you text in your contacts, up to $500 (only one text per contact is eligible for payment). After you send one or more texts, click “Get Paid” in the Numinar app. You will be asked to upload a screenshot from a randomly selected and time-stamped conversation for purposes of reviewing your payment request. After your payment is approved, you will receive an email witha link to redeem your earnings via a prepaid Visa card, any of 1,000+ gift card options, Paypal, Venmo, or bank transfer. Payments are processed through Tremendous.

What is Numinar?

Numinar is a relational organizing mobile app we partner with to enable you to match family and friends in your phone contacts to registered voters and send pre-loaded texts to remind them to vote.

Is there a limit to how many texts I can send?

You can text as many matched voter contacts as you want, but you are only eligible for paymentsthat total up to $500.

When will I get paid?

You will get an email to notify you when you can redeem your earnings, typically within 3 business days of submitting a payment request. Payments are processed through Tremendous.

What payment options are there?

Once a payment request is approved, you will receive an email with a link to redeem your earnings via a prepaid Visa card, any of 1,000+ gift card options, Paypal, Venmo, or bank transfer. Get $5 for each eligible text you send, up to $500. Payments are processed through Tremendous.

Are there any reasons that I won’t get paid?

All payment requests are subject to review and approval. Some reasons a payment request could be declined include:
• You’ve already received one or more payments that total $500.
• You request payment for multiple texts to the same contact.
• You don’t respond to a request to upload a screenshot from a randomly selected and time-stamped conversation.
• There is a problem with your conversation screen shot (for example, the screenshot is from the wrong conversation, or the screenshot timestamp is more than 10 minutes after the saved timestamp)
• The email address used to create your Numinar account is an anonymized email
• You create and send texts from multiple accounts in Numinar.
• The contacts you texted don’t match the voter information in Numinar.
• You create contacts to text that you don’t actually (for example, you have contacts that have been bulk uploaded or with whom you have no past conversation history)

If there is a problem processing your payment, you will get a notice from Numinar in the app, by mail, or both, which will include a phone number or email address that you can contact to request more information and try to resolve the issue. Numinar reserves the right to make all final decisions on payment requests.

How do you know I sent a text?

The Numinar app keeps track of which contacts you texted and will ask you to upload a screenshot from a randomly selected and time-stamped conversation before approving your payment.

What do you do with my contacts once I sync them in the app?

Numinar does not use your contacts for any purpose other than to fulfill the terms of this program. See the Terms and Privacy Policy.
